Academic/Behavior Interventionist
De La Salle is a public charter high school in the urban core of Kansas City, Missouri that prepares students to pursue

Job Title:
Academic/Behavior Interventionist
Direct Supervisor:
Assistant Principal/Principal
Contract Days: 11 Months
Position Responsibilities:- Works on the Kairos and Instructional Teams
- Kairos: is a part of the Response Team (responds to walkie calls, facilitates Working Lunch etc.), participates in Kairos team meetings
- Instructional: supports instruction, participates in grade level meetings etc.
- Supports all teachers in their classrooms w/ instructional and behavioral support
- Supports Real World Learning programming on DLS campus/off DLS campus
- Facilitates literacy intervention block and small group pull out sessions using a specific curriculum
- Monitors various data points (Academics: grades/credits, Attendance, Behavior) to ensure students complete their year “On Track” to graduate
- Communicates students’ progress with students and families regularly
- Facilitates student support meetings
- Creates and implements strategic interventions to promote student achievement, foster a sense of belonging and connection etc.
Qualifications:
- 1) A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s Degree Preferred)
- 2) Hold or be eligible for Missouri Certification in Secondary Administration
- 3) Ability to pass an extensive background check
- 4) Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the State Board of Education and DLS HS
- 5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 6) Strong PC skills
- 7) Organized, self-starter with the ability to adapt to support the best interest of the student
- 8) Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding students
