• Design mechanical structures and systems for truck mounted equipment that meet the applicable standards and to perform the following duties.

• Ownership of design of mechanical structures and components
• Deep understanding of and ability to create accurate Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Develop new products using 3D solid modeling software (Solid Works & Onshape)
• Create detail drawings of 3D models (Solid Works & Onshape)
• Work with procurement team to order prototype parts and manage creation of prototypes
• Work closely with design engineers to make sure products are analyzed and changes in incorporated
• Ability to accurately measure existing equipment and adept at reverse engineering workflow
• Make modifications to new designs based on results of testing
• Assist technical publications in creation of manuals (parts books, service manuals, operator manuals)
• ECR review and recommend approval/rejection
• ECO creation and give recommendations on implementation

• 10+ years’ experience in engineering environment
• 5+ years’ direct experience designing machines or mechanical equipment
• Proficient in use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proficient in engineering design software – 3D and 2D
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Understanding and use of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor, etc.)

• Skilled in the art of steel fabrication including welding, machining, bending, etc.
• Familiar with mobile hydraulic equipment, specifically cranes

• Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must also possess the ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
