We are looking for a full-time highly motivated and skilled Engineer - Product Development to join our innovative team. This role requires a strong foundation in Product Design and Product Engineering, with a focus on bringing new products to market. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Manufacturing Processes. They will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through Prototyping and into production, utilizing their Problem Solving abilities and a commitment to Continuous Improvement Process.
This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong Communication and Teamwork skills, while also contributing to New Product Development initiatives.
- Lead the design and development of new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and company strategy.
- Utilize Solid Works (CAD) software for creating detailed designs, models, and drawings.
- Oversee the Prototyping phase, iterating on designs based on testing and feedback.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Processes team to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Apply Mechanical Engineering principles to solve complex design challenges.
- Participate in Product Lifecycle Management activities, from concept to end of life.
- Conduct thorough Troubleshooting to identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Contribute to Research and development efforts to identify new technologies and materials.
- Present design concepts and progress updates to stakeholders, utilizing strong Presentation skills.
- Work closely with Operations and Sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, specifically Solid Works.
- General knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
- Demonstrated ability in Product Design and Product Engineering.
- Experience with Prototyping techniques.
- Strong Problem Solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent Communication and Teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management principles.
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement Process methodologies.
- 3-5 years of experience in product development.
- Experience with Electrical Engineering principles.
- Experience with Project Management methodologies.
- Familiarity with Marketing principles.
- Experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Demonstrated Leadership potential.
- Experience with Innovation processes.
