Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Construction Project Scheduler to join our Program Management team in Kansas City, KS. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in Primavera P6, possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to manage and convey complex scheduling information effectively across diverse project teams.
Responsibilities- Develop, review, and maintain construction project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Interpret construction plans and contract documents.
- Assess schedule logic and forecasts for reasonability, identifying and correcting any inconsistencies; investigate any variances in project schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Develop, review and maintain organizational structures including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Activity Codes, and naming conventions for Activity Description.
- Develop and review cost-loading and resource loading for construction schedules.
- Apply concepts of scope control, change management, and earned value management.
- Measure project schedule progress and monitor critical path activities.
- Identify schedule risks and provide strategies to mitigate delays.
- Prepare detailed schedule reports and assist in monthly report preparation.
- Develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and dashboards using Power BI to track and report on schedule performance.
- Utilize schedule layouts and filters to develop custom reports.
- Conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA) using methodologies such as impacted-as-planned.
- Proactively coordinate with stakeholders, including scheduling meetings, sending reminders, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Clearly explain scheduling positions and issues in formal meetings and/or presentations, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations with graphics and data visualizations.
- BA/BS + 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- MS in Construction Management, Architecture or Civil or related field.
- Previous experience as an owner’s representative.
- At least four (4) years or more of construction, including field experience.
- Knowledge of transportation and general building related scopes of work.
- Experience in developing cost estimates in UNIFORMAT and CSI formats.
- Experience in developing and reviewing construction schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- Relocation is not available for this position.
- Potential up to 90% travel anywhere in the U.S.
