Power Electronics Engineer

Job Description

Summary:

Seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to design, modify, and integrate high power DC-DC converters and solid-state relays for battery management systems.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
• Ten years of combined work experience or hands‑on graduate experience in power electronics
• Experience in designing high power DC to DC converters
• Experience in high-current solid‑state relay design
• Experience leading, training, and mentoring other engineers

• Knowledge of analog‑to‑digital and digital‑to‑analog conversion
• Embedded controller design and software/firmware programming capability
• Experience designing for high reliability harsh environments
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO
  9001, DoD, NASA and IPC standards and quality requirements
• Experience in schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout;
  Altium preferred
• Experience in AC to DC power conversion

• Design, modify, and integrate DC-DC power converters up to 100kW for battery charge control and voltage regulation
• Design, modify, and integrate solid‑state relays capable of carrying currents up to 1000A
• Perform circuit design, analysis, simulation, and PCB layout for harsh environments including vibration and thermal cycling
• Conduct design verification testing on PCB assembly prototypes and document results
• Design measurement circuits for various physical battery parameters such as voltage, current, temperature

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $ per year
