Senior Design Estimator

The Senior Design Estimator is responsible for delivering precise and optimal structural estimates for highly complex projects while providing strategic guidance to the estimating team. This role requires advanced technical skills, thorough knowledge of risk management, and the ability to influence profitability and regional growth.
Primary
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver quotations and pre-order assistance for high-complexity projects (450 to 600 hours +/-) with minimal oversight and quality assurance checks.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop pricing strategies and provide critical input on final pricing.
- Lead training sessions to improve understanding of pricing software capabilities among team members and builders.
- Act as a mentor and leader within the estimating team, guiding and developing junior and intermediate estimators.
- Continuously improve quote hit ratio and identify opportunities to enhance profitability.
- Drive the development of estimating best practices and ensure consistency in the estimation process.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering field
- 5+ Years of Experience in Steel Design or Pre-Engineered Metal Building Estimating/Design
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong technical background preferred.
- Proficiency in estimating and pricing software.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience in pre-engineered metal building projects
