Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join a well established and growing team in the Kansas City market.
This is a role for someone who is detail oriented, driven, and looking to grow within the electrical construction space. You will play a key role in building accurate, competitive estimates while working closely with internal teams and external partners to bring projects together from the early stages.
What You Will Be Doing
- Review project plans and specifications to build complete and accurate estimates
- Develop material and labor cost breakdowns for proposals
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to gather and evaluate pricing
- Analyze equipment and system costs, including opportunities for value engineering
- Review project scope for potential risks and cost considerations
- Assist in pricing general conditions and indirect project costs
- Maintain and update historical cost data to support future estimates
- Prepare and present detailed proposals to internal stakeholders
- Two or more years of experience in electrical estimating or relevant field experience
- Background in electrical construction, either in the field or office
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable working in an in office environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Trimble Accubid will set you apart from others
- Background in the field as an Electrician, Foreman, or General Foreman
- Strong understanding of job site logistics, labor productivity, and project flow
- Ability to identify risks and think beyond just material takeoffs
