JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. Role Summary

Primary

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and execution support for the mechanical, electrical, piping, and fire protection (MEPFP) disciplines for power sector projects.
  • Lead day-to-day development, coordination, and delivery of MEPFP systems across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project requirements for safety, quality, performance, budget and schedule.
  • Work closely with project teams, field leadership, design partners, OEMs, and trade partners to resolve complex system challenges, support constructability, and ensure successful installation, testing, and commissioning of major power plant systems.
  • Contribute directly to estimating, system development, bid analysis, scheduling, quality control, and commissioning, while ensuring engineering decisions are practical, executable, and aligned with project and commercial objectives.
Leadership

Role Responsibilities:
  • Report to Engineering Services Leadership Team.
  • Lead initiative to strengthen the company's technical capabilities within the power sector.
  • Build and develop team of M/E engineers while establishing consistent approaches, and reinforcing technical standards that enable scalable, high-quality project execution.
  • Lead the delivery of reliable outcomes and advancing the company's presence in the power generation
Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
  • Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates, based upon program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating system.
  • Assists in the review of mechanical and electrical options as part of the preconstruction process and completes systems analysis for select projects.
  • Learns to develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
  • Assists in the completion of bid analysis and provides input during the subcontractor selection process.
  • Assists in developing sequencing requirements of various systems and providing solutions to meet the schedule requirements.
  • Gains knowledge of design documents in order to identify potential quality problems to assist in developing constructability review reports.
  • Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met and work is completed in a quality and timely manner.
  • Learns and assists with the shop drawing/submittal process to comply with the contract documents.
  • Assists with the commissioning process including developing pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures and actual functional testing.
