A rapidly growing technology company developing advanced control and display systems for vehicles and specialty equipment is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its engineering team.
The company designs integrated hardware and software platforms that combine multiple vehicle functions into intuitive control interfaces. These systems connect to HMIs, touchscreen displays, and mobile applications, enabling seamless control of lighting, audio, and auxiliary systems across a range of demanding environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, designing the electronic backbone of next-generation control platforms used in advanced vehicle and equipment applications.

The RoleAs a Senior Electrical Design Engineer
, you will take responsibility for designing complex hardware systems that power the company’s core control platforms. These products interface with embedded software systems, HMIs, and mobile applications.
You will contribute to architecture decisions, schematic and PCB design, and support the transition from prototype through to production.
The role requires strong hands-on electrical design capability combined with the ability to collaborate closely with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design complex electronic circuits and PCB layouts for embedded control platforms
- Develop schematic designs and manage full PCBA design processes
- Select appropriate circuit topologies and electronic components
- Design boards incorporating SoCs, ASICs, and embedded processors
- Ensure designs meet requirements for signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and power management
- Develop and manage BOMs with a focus on cost efficiency and manufacturability
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams during product development
- Work with contract manufacturers to develop testing platforms and production processes
- Support troubleshooting, debugging, and validation of hardware designs
- Provide technical leadership on complex projects and contribute to product architecture decisions
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical hardware design
- Strong experience in schematic design and PCB layout
- Knowledge of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and power electronics
- Experience with embedded control systems
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as:
- USB
- SPI
- I2C
- CAN
- BLE
- Experience using Altium or similar PCB design tools
- Proven track record of hardware designs successfully released to production
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around BOM management and cost optimisation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Salary range $120K – $200K depending on experience
