Drinking Water Business Class Lead
As part of HDR’s Water Business Group, you will help shape how communities manage water for generations to come. You will lead the Drinking Water Business Class, managing staff, driving business development, and ensuring project success while upholding HDR’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Responsibilities- Manage staff performance, recruitment, development, and morale.
- Plan and execute multi‑discipline projects and lead client development.
- Ensure profitability, budget compliance, and appropriate resource allocation.
- Maintain QA/QC and project reporting standards.
- Collaborate with area operations, marketing, and project management on business class initiatives.
- Engage in industry conferences, partner associations, and professional practice groups.
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and plan implementation.
- Commit to HDR values and continuous improvement.
- Act as a team player on integrated project teams.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
- Active involvement in professional or industry associations.
- Proven success in water market sector business development.
- Excellent client relations and business development skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering, or closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
- Professional or engineering registration with related technical experience.
- Experience managing diverse teams.
- Collaborative approach with area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing.
- Active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture is mandatory.
