Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute projects up to $10million, establishing and meeting budget and schedule, supervising construction, training personnel, and coordinating with QC/QA, safety, health & environmental, and maintenance functions; collaborate as a member of project teams.
• Provide technical safety support for plant safety initiatives, designing or redesigning work processes to eliminate injuries and illnesses.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify improvement opportunities, implement action plans, and conduct follow‑up to ensure effective results.
• Deliver engineering studies, designs, and justifications for approval to support operations’ goals.
• Maintain and analyze historical data, monitoring key efficiencies and parameters against design to aid troubleshooting and achieve cost and production targets.
• Evaluate, seek approval for, and execute improvements to plant safety, reliability, capacity, operating costs, maintenance, and product quality.
• Stay current in the discipline, assess new technologies and ideas, and develop, evaluate, and seek approval for concepts that enhance process efficiency, facility life, and product quality.
• Conduct process training and ensure documentation is up‑to‑date upon completion of projects.
• Assist operations with continuous training to maintain operator proficiency.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operational issues across units and departments, providing troubleshooting support.
• Use historical data to monitor efficiencies and deliver on cost and production goals.
• Develop creative and innovative solutions, challenging conventional methods, and employ project‑management best practices to implement improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–8years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience executing capital projects/permits and performing engineering functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated completion of projects that meet design objectives.
• Project Management training and/or certification (a plus).
• Lean Six Sigma certification (a plus).
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to present technical information and prepare concise reports.
• Self‑directed, exhibits initiative, sound judgment, resourcefulness, and innovation while working with minimal supervision.
• Effective team player who builds consensus and fosters relationships across organizational levels and functions.
