As we foster a culture of inclusion throughout our company and within our communities, we constantly ask ourselves:
What is our impact on the world? Each and every role throughout our organization makes a difference in our ability to change the world for the better. We believe transportation is more than movement, it's the foundation of connected, thriving communities. As part of HDR's Transportation Business Group, you'll help shape the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

This isn't just a job, it's a chance to lead progress, drive meaningful impact, and leave a legacy of smarter, more connected transportation networks.

  • Conduct field investigations, site visits, existing-condition assessments, and due-diligence evaluations to support conceptual and final EVSE site designs.
  • Evaluate charging equipment, electrical infrastructure requirements, utility service needs, site constraints, constructability considerations, and opportunities for future expansion.
  • Prepare EVSE conceptual layouts, technical memoranda, reports, design calculations, and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams located locally and nationally.
  • Provide construction-phase technical support, including preparation of bid addenda, review of submittals, responses to requests for information, construction progress reviews, site inspections, punch-listing, change-order support, and incorporation of approved changes into project documents.
  • Support compliance with applicable electrical codes, accessibility requirements, utility standards, permitting requirements, and other relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Assist with technical research, data analysis, grant applications, reports, presentations, proposal development, and transportation electrification industry initiatives.
  • Support the continued growth of HDR's transportation electrification, Zero Emissions Mobility, and related transportation technology practices locally and nationally.
  • Perform assignments under the supervision of a professional engineer and progressively assume greater technical and design responsibility.
