Position Overview/Duties TheU.S. Army Corpsof Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District is hiring a Project Manager for the Planning, Programs and Project Management Division, Military Programs Branch. Job announcement for a Project Manager for the Kansas City District. Incumbent will serve as a Project Manager within PPPMD, Military Programs, for the B21 Program at Whiteman Air Force Base with a duty location at the Kansas City District Office.
Responsible for many facets of customer interface and project execution. Directs, coordinates and oversees the planning, design and construction execution of assigned projects in consultation with the program manager and functional chiefs. This involves coordinating with and planning for the various requirements of using services. Also involved is the monitoring of and ensuring the performance of all technical division’s responsibilities for execution of assigned projects.
Responsible for reporting requirements in the project management system for all designated projects. Knowledge of management principles and practices as well as knowledge of construction and engineering disciplines is required. We are recruiting an Interdisciplinary Project Manager at the GS-12 or GS-13 level. The position is a target GS-13.

Specialized ExperienceThe specialized experience for the GS-12 position involves the comprehensive management of minor engineering projects. A qualified candidate must demonstrate basic level knowledge and skill in the following areas:
Full Life Cycle Project Management, Technical Integration, Project Planning and Control, and Stakeholder Management. Candidates must have one-year successful, specialized experience at the GS-11 Project Manager level or equivalent. The specialized experience for the GS-13 position involves the comprehensive management of major and complex engineering projects. A qualified candidate must demonstrate expert level knowledge and skill in the following areas:
Full Life Cycle Project Management, Technical Integration, Project Planning and Control, and Stakeholder Management. Candidates must have one-year successful, specialized experience at the GS-12 Project Manager level or equivalent.
