Responsibilities
- Support the electrical group, working as part of multidisciplinary project teams to provide electrical engineering and related technical expertise
- Integrate process, mechanical, and control requirements into comprehensive electrical systems
- Manage projects, coach and mentor less-experienced staff, provide technical leadership, manage teams to meet clients' needs, and conduct business development activities
- Prepare plans and specifications, write reports, develop cost estimations, and design power and controls from the ground up
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing projects, ensuring project milestones are met and providing regular updates to team members and clients
- Support the growth and development of team members while collaborating across disciplines
- bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- at least 5 years of related experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to job responsibilities described above
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr Engineering, now or in the future
Demonstrates expertise in electrical engineering, project management, and team leadership, with a focus on integrating multidisciplinary requirements into effective electrical systems. Proficient in preparing technical documentation and managing project milestones while fostering team development and collaboration.
