DescriptionWe are seeking an Environmental & Regulatory Compliance Project Manager with significant consulting experience to manage a variety of projects that include stormwater compliance and environmental inspections for construction projects, multi-media environmental compliance audits for operational facilities, environmental site assessments, mitigation measure implementation, and permit application development.
Develop and implement strategic business/action plans, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand Burns & McDonnell's client base, with a focus on Compliance & Inspection services.
- Prepare summaries of regulations and determines the applicability to a client's operations.
- Perform site audits, incident investigations and audits in support of other company and client initiatives.
- Participate in environmental site assessments.
- Complete permit application forms for water and waste permits.
- Conduct or oversee groundwater and surface water sampling events in support of regulatory projects.
- Conduct or oversee environmental compliance audits, prepare permitting applications, and analyze environmental data for various types of projects, including renewable projects, high-voltage transmission line routing, oil and gas facilities, petrochemical manufacturing plants, power generation construction activities and water treatment facilities.
- Perform or oversee multi-media compliance audits, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Tier I/Tier II, Underground Storage Tank (UST) closures, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation, and Best Management Practices (BMP) inspections.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Develop and implement compliance tools and regulatory requirement tracking tools.
- Help build and maintain good working relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited program.
- A minimum of 7 years of environmental compliance experience required. Master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Previous consulting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office are required.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong marketing/business development skills.
- Ability to work within a Team framework.
- Significant report writing experience.
