- Description Leidos is seeking a mid level Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Professional to join the National Airspace System (NAS) Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team located in the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Central Region Office in Kansas City, MO. The position will provide direct support to the Designated Agency Safety and Health Official (DASHO) Support Group (AJW-25) who is tasked to provide occupational safety and health professionals to assist the various FAA Lines of Businesses and Staff Office (LOB/SO) organizations with development and implementation of environmental and occupational safety and health (EOSH) programs, processes, and procedures within their respective organizations.

The focus of this position is to provide Regional Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Resource (ROSHER) Program support to the FAA to improve the safety and health for employees, contractors, and visitors to buildings and offices associated with Regional Organizations in accordance with the latest version of FAA Order 3900.19. Assigned tasks will include assisting each LOB/SO in various EOSH-related activities, to include: development and delivery of regulatory-required safety, health, and/or environmental training;

performance of safety audits and workplace safety inspections at FAA facilities; development of comprehensive reports to convey EOSH regulatory compliance status to organizational managers and union representatives; analysis of EOSH reports to identify trends and to identify programmatic solutions; coordination, scheduling and hosting of quarterly occupational safety, health, and environmental compliance committee meetings (OSHECCOM), and perform investigations for mishaps and/or reported complaints of safety and health conditions al candidates will be familiar with the various FAA organizations, FAA facilities and LOB/SO mission requirements.

Interested candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiencies in EOSH-related training, program development, and EOSH-related program tasks. The candidate will be required to report to the client office in Kansas City, MO at least 3 days per week and at least once annually at client facilities located in the FAA Central Region, which includes Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa, or upon request by the client, at other FAA facilities across the county.

There is opportunity of up to 25% telework and a requirement to be able to travel up to 25%.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide EOSH Subject Matter Expert (SME) assistance and perform EOSH-related program implementation and management activities as assigned by the office of the DASHO (AJW-25).

* Assist LOB/SO in achieving compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

* Assist LOB/SO managers in the mitigation of workplace hazards at assigned FAA facilities.

* Perform all administrative tasks prescribed under the duties of FAA Regional/Center OSHECCOM Charter, to include documenting meeting minutes, developing meeting content, and scheduling/coordinating meeting times and dates with OSHECCOM members.

* Respond to emergency situations associated with EOSH at FAA facilities to include accident and illness investigations or employee reports of unsafe working conditions.

* Create written OSH programs and standard operating procedures for FAA LOB/SO.

* Perform and oversee site visits and create and submit accurate trip reports.

* Review and evaluate draft documents such as proposed orders and procedures to federal, state, and local regulations, including consensus standards where applicable.

* Develop/draft policy and guidance documents.

* Perform annual workplace safety and health inspections at assigned FAA facilities and document these inspections utilizing the FAA’s Workplace Inspection Tool.

* Ensure that all contract-required administrative activities, such as time-card entry, weekly, quarterly, and monthly reports are performed on-time and are accurate.

* Maintain frequent interface and communication with manager, FAA personnel, and other contractor personnel.
