The Test Engineer plays a key role in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of commercial vehicle systems and components. This position is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating product validation activities, including laboratory, field, durability, performance, environmental, and benchmark testing. The role develops and maintains Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R), test methods, procedures, specifications, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test equipment required to support product development and validation.
The role also includes developing practical mechanical solutions for testing needs, such as test fixtures, fabricated components, adapters, brackets, tooling, equipment layouts, and custom lab setups used to support safe, repeatable, and effective product validation.
- Qualification 1 :
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. - Qualification 2 :
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, testing methodologies, and engineering problem-solving techniques. Experience in product development, testing, validation, or mechanical systems. - Qualification 3 :
Experience with data acquisition systems and engineering analysis tools. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards. - Qualification 4 :
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Qualification 5 :
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Qualification 6 :
Promotes a culture of organization, cleanliness, preventive maintenance, and operational discipline.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 10 to 15%.
