Chief Compliance Officer

Chief Compliance Officer in Kansas City, MO (On-site)

The Chief Compliance Officer will play a pivotal role in maintaining and overseeing compliance functions across the firm. This leader will serve as the official CCO‑of‑record, while working closely with an external compliance consultant who supports much of the technical workload. The position is designed for a detail‑oriented compliance professional seeking an opportunity to take on CCO responsibility within a supportive structure.

• Serve as the designated Chief Compliance Officer, formally signing off on compliance obligations
• Oversee compliance framework, policies, and SEC reporting
• Collaborate with external compliance consultant on audits, filings, and best practices
• Monitor and manage compliance risk across the firm
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of compliance requirements
• Educate and support team members on compliance standards

• Background in RIA or financial advisory compliance strongly preferred
• Knowledge of annuities and related financial products ideal
• Open to candidates from Deputy/Associate CCO or banking compliance backgrounds
• Must be detail-oriented, disciplined, and accurate
• Collaborative approach with ability to balance compliance rigor and teamwork
• Base salary: $75,000 – $110,000, depending on experience
• 401(k) eligibility after 6 months
