This full-time, on-site Head of Department role is based in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The Head of Department will lead and oversee multiple initiatives within the alternative investments space, with a focus on funds of hedge funds (FoHFs). Responsibilities include directing and monitoring high-quality qualitative and quantitative due diligence processes, supervising risk assessments, and developing investment strategies. The role also involves guiding teams in identifying and sourcing boutique FoHFs managers while fostering collaboration to ensure compliance and innovation within the department.
Qualifications- Strong expertise in Funds of Hedge Funds (FoHFs), alternative investments, and financial markets
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative due diligence, financial risk analysis, and risk management
- A track record of success in leadership and team management with strong decision-making and communication skills
- Proficiency in investment strategy development and monitoring of asset portfolios
- Relevant professional designations such as CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) are required; additional certifications like FRM (Financial Risk Manager) are a plus
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic market environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous
- Preference for candidates located in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City Metropolitan Area
