AP Specialist

Vaco is hiring for an AP Specialist opportunity in Kansas City.

The Accounts Payable Specialist supports the company’s financial operations by accurately processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring all accounts payable activities are handled efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting timely financial close processes.

• Process accounts payable transactions including invoice entry, purchase order matching, and payment preparation in a timely and accurate manner.

• Review and code invoices according to company accounting structure and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.

• Reconcile vendor accounts
  , investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues related to payment terms, remittance information, or transaction errors.

• Collaborate with internal departments to support purchasing processes and clarify billing or purchase order questions.

• Monitor accounts payable aging and assist in securing timely payments and dispute resolution.

• Assist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance AP processes, documentation, and reporting.

• Support other finance projects and duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable leadership team.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
