Accounts Payable Lead

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounts Payable Lead, based in Kansas City, MO and located near MCI airport. The Accounts Payable Lead will oversee and process vendor invoices and expense reports, reconcile all credit card accounts, maintain accounting and financial transaction records, and ensure accuracy in financial transactions. Additional responsibilities include analyzing financial data, assisting with financial and work comp audits, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the finance team as needed.

• Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting principles
• Proficiency in processing Vendor Invoices, Vendor Payments, and Expense Reports
• Analytical Skills to review financial data and identify discrepancies
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational abilities
• Rule-follower, disciplined
• But unafraid to defend their recommendation.
• Proficiency with accounting software (we use Net Suite) and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
