Private Equity Associate

A leading private equity firm is looking to add a Private Equity Associate to its investment team in Kansas City. The firm invests in lower-middle-market businesses and works closely with management teams to support growth and long-term value creation.

• Evaluate new investment opportunities and conduct detailed financial, market, and industry analysis
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and investment return analyses
• Support due diligence, transaction execution, and preparation of investment committee materials
• Conduct company and industry research to develop investment theses
• Work closely with senior investment professionals, management teams, advisors, and other external parties
• Support ongoing analysis of portfolio companies and value creation initiatives
• Assist with sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities

• 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a similar transaction-oriented role
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Experience with M&A, transaction execution, or investment analysis
• Strong academic background and demonstrated intellectual curiosity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong ties to Kansas, Missouri, or the surrounding Midwest region are highly preferred
