Director of Finance

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This leadership role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive financial performance to support the company’s growth and objectives.

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to enhance performance and professional development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for business decisions.
• Monitor cash flow, investment activities, and capital structure to optimize financial health.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial software systems.
• Proven ability to develop financial strategies and lead teams effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a corporate environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with executive leadership.
