An Advanced Associate Financial Planner (AAFP) at Financial Service Group serves as a client/lead advisor liaison. For a high-energy, CFP qualified professional and mature contributor who demonstrates outstanding performance in the role, this is an excellent growth opportunity for advancement to a lead advisor within a 12-18 month period. A Lead Advisor at FSG is a more experienced planner responsible for developing new business opportunities and creating complete financial life plans with our clients.
The AFP acts in a supportive role to the lead advisor, who serves as a primary resource for training and mentoring. The AAFP participates in client meetings with the goal to transition into leading the meetings over 12-18 months. Specific tasks of an AFP and a Lead Advisor along with a robust training outline will be shared with interested candidates.
What we’re looking for in our ideal ADVANCED ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNER
- 3-5 years working in a financial planning environment (doing tasks such as preparing client reports, updating information, participating in client meetings, setting up accounts, transferring assets, preparing meeting agendas and reports, etc.)
- Has working knowledge of CRM system (Redtail or comparable), financial planning software (Money Guide Pro or comparable). Works with custodians (Schwab)
- Quick to learn/apply tools, technologies and processes associated with the role
- Self-starter, motivated by continuous learning
- Must be organized, possess a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy, and be able to concentrate and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must align, support, and demonstrate FSG values
- Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others and a desire/ability to work effectively in a small company team environment.

- Salary will be based on experience (no commission) and is competitive with industry standards for the role
