New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if not immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and varicella, and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination.

The Surgical Technician II functions as a member of the patient care team, under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or registered nurse. This position provides technical skills in the role of the surgical scrub before, during and after operative procedures, by anticipating needs, preparing, organizing and troubleshooting equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical procedures. Assists the physician(s) and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, utilizing resources efficiently, communicating effectively, and is proficient in scrubbing Level 6 procedures and below.
Qualifications- Associates Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred)
- HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience as a Surgical Technologist
- 1-2 years Sterile Processing experience preferred

Starting PayOur pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $25.39/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote WorkThis position is not eligible to work remotely; the person hired will be required to work onsite at a Children’s Mercy location and may not work from home.
