Job Summary and QualificationsUnder limited supervision, the Interventional Technologist completes interventional procedures including routine arterial and venous interventional procedures as well as complicated interventional procedures including stenting and cerebral coilings and procedures using contrast media.
What you will do in this role:- Comply with principles of sterile technique.
- Collect and assemble data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
- Carry out any other activities assigned by the IR Supervisor or Imaging Services Director to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
- The IR Tech‑noncertified is required to participate in the on‑call rotation and must respond within 30 minutes when on call.
- Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Two‑year program or four‑year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in interventional procedures either on the job or from an accredited program setting.
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 6 months of hire.
- ARRT preferred.
- Minimum of one year hospital department experience.
- On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
