Location: 101 Truman Medical Center, University Health 1 (UH1), Kansas City, Missouri

Employment Type: Full time

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week

• Serve as the operational glue that holds the department together, overseeing activities to meet strategic goals.
• Collaborate with the Director to plan, grow, and improve services—and assume leadership responsibilities when the Director is absent.
• Maintain day‑to‑day operations, including scheduling, staffing, and ensuring team support.
• Champion performance‑improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Provide empathetic leadership, inspire teams, and foster open communication across departments.

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
• 2–3 years of leadership experience in healthcare.
• BLS or ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and a proven improvement‑initiative track record.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with an ability to collaborate.
• Service‑oriented, team‑first mindset, and ability to manage priorities effectively.
• Comfort with technology and strong organizational skills.

• Hold a Master’s degree.
• Enjoy problem solving, team‑building, and celebrating achievements.
