Summary
- Lead risk management efforts in the field of nursing peer review.
- Assist with review and investigation of internal occurrence reports, root cause analysis, and other patient safety event reviews.
- Analyze quality and risk management data to identify opportunities to improve patient safety, and implement proactive risk management projects to promote patient safety and risk reduction.
- The successful candidate will have a strong orientation to quality and other data systems and a strong background in nursing leadership.
- The successful candidate will have a professional presence and leadership acumen to present projects to the Medical Staff and NKC Health staff.
Supervisor, Professional Practice Evaluation & Risk Management, will be responsible for Medical Staff Practice Evaluation Processes (OPPE and FPPE), with an expectation of using quality data and clinical review skills and experience to develop and deploy meaningful processes for the NKC Health Medical Staff. This position reports to the Director, Risk Management.
ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of relevant progressive, clinical work experience. Strong nursing background and quality data experience are required. Strong working knowledge of CMS and TJC regulatory compliance requirements related to quality, risk management and medical staff.
Special SkillsMust be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient in EMR, occurrence reporting, Symplr, Premier and other quality data systems. Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency working in electronic systems.
OtherStrong professional, organizational and interpersonal skills required for working with all Medical Staff, hospital staff and senior leadership.
