Please note:
This position will take place at our new location North Pointe building in April/May. Supervise the functions, activities and outpatient staff of the Financial Counseling Center of the organization. Ensure patients access financial counseling for eligibility for Medicaid, Crime Victims, and the organization’s Financial Assistance Programs. Coordinate training needs with the Performance Improvement Specialist. Coordinate workflow of employees and manage the Customer Service component of outpatient and follow up of the Financial Counseling Center.
Coordinate quality assurance, monitoring of applications and discount processes as well as the FCC customer service. Ensure adherence to objectives, guidelines, hospital and corporate philosophy. This position will also provide support supervision to the Integrated Program Coordinators involved in the special project with Missouri Family Support Division. This includes staff who direct report to this supervisor and those who may directly report to other supervisors in the department.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as Resource Counselor II, Patient Access Representative II or an equivalent position for at least two years. Internal candidates must have a meets expectations rating or above on the last two evaluations.
- Must meet state of Missouri employment requirements for all persons contracted to do work with Department of Social Services which includes satisfaction of all state income tax requirements and fingerprinting. Questions about state income taxes should be referred to Missouri Department of Revenue or RSMo Section 105.262
- Successfully complete the 6-8 week Family Support Division training related to application processing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- Knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior experience as a Financial Counseling Coordinator.
- Supervisory experience in a Patient Registration or Financial Counseling environment.
