Job Details:

• Work night shifts, 36 hours per week for 13-week assignment

• Must have minimum 1 year of pediatric CICU/CVPICU experience

• Must have at least 12 months/1 year experience as a traveler - first time travelers not accepted

• Patient ratio of 1:2 on nights

• May float to cardiac med surg floor and between sister hospitals in Kansas City, MO and Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles apart)

• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (only AHA certifications accepted, RQI not accepted), CCRN preferred

• Must have both Missouri (or compact) and Kansas state nursing licenses

• Charting system:
Epic

• Work with patients diagnosed with congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and myo/endocarditis

• Experience with special procedures including CRRT, ECMO, VADs required

• Work with advanced monitoring equipment including art/cvp lines, PA lines, and umbilical lines

• Must pass medication/dosage test in first week with 100% score (3 attempts given)

• Scrubs: any kid-friendly color or pattern

The 390-bed facility features a 24-bed pediatric cardiac intensive care unit and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

The hospital maintains smoke-free campus policies and uses Epic charting system for patient documentation.
