The Maintenance Lead position at Ambassador Hotel Kansas City is a key role that ensures the smooth operation of the hotel's facilities and systems. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of the hotel and providing a great experience for guests.
What you'll get to do- Manage and perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities to identify and address potential issues
- Supervise and coordinate the work of other maintenance staff to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize disruptions to hotel operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities support the overall goals of the hotel
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in a related field preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field, with experience in a hotel or hospitality setting a plus
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and other relevant technologies
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies, with ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Certification in a trade or profession, such as electrical or plumbing, highly desirable
