Human Resources Coordinator

Our client, a growing multi-state organization headquartered in Overland Park, is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to support HR operations across multiple locations. This role will play a key part in managing employee lifecycle processes, compliance tracking, onboarding, and leave administration.

This is a strong opportunity for an HR professional with 2–4 years of experience. The position is fully onsite and best suited for someone who is self‑disciplined, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently.

• Process and audit I-9 verifications through E-Verify and ensure ongoing compliance
• Support onboarding processes, including offer letters, new hire checklists, and employment verifications
• Track and administer leave of absence programs including FMLA, disability, and unpaid leave
• Manage workers’ compensation documentation and related processes
• Assist with payroll processing as backup support
• Respond to unemployment claims and employment verifications
• Maintain employee records in HRIS, including personnel action forms and compliance documentation
• Coordinate drug screening processes and background checks
• Ensure labor law postings and compliance materials are current across all locations
• Generate reports including overtime tracking and other HR analytics as requested

• 2–4 years of HR experience
• Strong working knowledge of I-9 compliance and leave administration
• Experience working in an HRIS
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
