Job Description Talent Acquisition Specialist - Kansas City, MO

An Insurance client of ours is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team immediately on a full-time basis. This candidate will be the main recruiter for the entire company and is planning on having between 20-30 roles to fill this year before any potential backfills that would pop up.

This role is 4 days on site in KC and one day remote. The position will report directly to the HR Director and will be a jack of all trades for the HR and TA team. This is a small team where they help and cover each other, so someone who exclusively wants to focus on interviewing and filling positions wouldn’t enjoy this environment.

The tools/platforms they use are Paycor Talent Acquisition with a plug in for Linked In recruiter.

Duties:

• Own all aspects of recruitment for full-time, part-time or contract positions including leveraging our ATS to source, screen, and interview candidates for a variety of positions.
• Measure and report talent acquisition metrics (diversity, time-to-fill, turnover, cost-per-hire, etc).
• Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and create job postings.
• Build a strong network and a bench for high-volume positions.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams.
• Extend offers, coordinate pre‑employment requirements including background checks.
• Partner with HR leadership to improve recruitment strategies, community branding and presence and onboarding processes.
• Manage external talent placement partners, negotiate terms.
• Attend virtual or in-person events (job fairs, local college presentations, etc) to build brand presence.
• Facilitate and launch company internship program, including building trusted relationships with local institutions.
• Work with the People & Culture team to prepare for off‑cycle and group onboarding and other initiatives.

Compensation for this role is $70k based on years of experience.

• 3+ years of experience recruiting in a corporate environment
• Bachelor's or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency with MS Office, ATS (Paycor and Linked In recruiter preferred) Insurance or real estate industry experience preferred
