** About the Role
** The Global Legislation AI Content Optimization Lead plays a key role in advancing AI‑enabled editorial transformation across Global Editorial Operations (GEO). Reporting to the Global Head of Legislation, this position leads the strategy and execution of AI‑assisted content creation, quality improvement, workflow optimization, and scaled efficiencies for legislative and regulatory content.
This role partners closely with global teams including Product, Technology, and Editorial leadership to embed responsible AI practices into editorial processes. The Lead ensures content is accurate, consistent, compliant, and aligned with Lexis Nexis’ digital‑first goals across North America, the UK, Asia‑Pacific, and other markets.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Develop and implement a global AI content‑optimization strategy for legislative and regulatory content.
* Lead ideation, requirements gathering, and prioritization for AI‑driven content generation, summarization, enrichment, classification, and structural improvement.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to translate concepts into scalable roadmap initiatives.
* Oversee the design, testing, and deployment of AI‑enabled editorial tools and workflows.
* Establish and maintain global standards and guidelines for AI‑generated or AI‑enhanced legislative content.
* Promote AI‑first editorial practices and support teams in adopting new technologies and automation.
* Contribute to metrics frameworks for content quality, workflow performance, model behavior, and user impact.
* Analyze and present insights, results, and risks to senior stakeholders.
* Monitor AI market trends, LLM technologies, and emerging NLP capabilities, translating innovation into practical applications.
* Build skills and capabilities across global editorial teams to strengthen AI literacy and digital maturity.
** Requirements
* ** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. A background in law is beneficial.
* 5+ years of experience in content, publishing, legal editorial, product development, or project/program management ideally within legislative or regulatory environments.
* Strong understanding of legal content across codified and common‑law systems.
* Experience applying AI, LLMs, automation, or NLP to improve content or workflows.
* Proven ability to deliver complex, cross‑functional projects in global or matrixed environments.
* Proficiency in data analysis, performance measurement, and insight reporting.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.
* Strategic thinker able to balance innovation with operational needs.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Working knowledge of AI practices, prompt design, and LLM strengths/limitations.
* Skilled in stakeholder management and relationship building.
* Ability to lead through influence and support organizational change.
* Organized, detail‑oriented, and adaptable in a fast‑moving environment.
* Experience with agile or iterative delivery methods.
