Position OverviewAs a Senior Data Analyst, you will drive data-informed decisions and quality across credit, portfolio performance, member/customer experience, and operational efficiency. This position requires deep expertise in financial services analytics, strong technical acumen, and proven ability to lead teams and influence senior leadership.
As a Sr Data Analyst, you will- Analyze loans, portfolio, input finance, and member/customer data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities across credit, pricing, product performance, and seasonal lending patterns.
- Design, build, and maintain executive dashboards and operational reports covering KPIs, portfolio health, delinquency trends, yield analysis, and operational performance (Power BI)
- Partners with credit, risk, finance, product, and retail teams to define analytical questions, design studies, and translate findings into concrete business recommendations that drive strategy and operations.
- Support and enhance credit and risk models (e.g., credit scorecards, early-warning indicators, member risk assessment) in collaboration with data science and risk teams; monitor model performance and stability over time.
- Own end-to-end data workflows: data extraction (SQL/SoQL, Data Bricks), cleaning, transformation, validation, documentation, and governance to enable repeatable analyses and self-service data assets for the organization.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with financial regulations, privacy requirements, and audit standards in partnership with technology, compliance, finance, and risk teams.
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts to define priorities, review work, provide constructive feedback, support professional development, and model analytical best practices.
- Present insights and recommendations to the Executive Leadership team, senior leadership, business unit heads, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Identify and champion new data-driven opportunities, analytical approaches, tools, and processes that improve decision quality, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives such as portfolio growth strategy, product launches, technology implementation, and regulatory reporting.
- Experience:
5+ years of professional data analytics experience in financial services, banking, lending, payments, or fintech environments. Agricultural finance experience is a strong plus. - Leadership:
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring analysts, managing small teams, or owning analytics work streams with meaningful cross-functional influence and stakeholder impact.
- Advanced SQL for complex querying across large, relational datasets; ability to optimize performance on large tables.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or R) for data wrangling, exploratory analysis, and light statistical modeling.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI to build executive-ready dashboards.
- Financial Knowledge:
Solid understanding of financial products, lending metrics, and risk analytics, including loan performance, collections, risk, participation analysis, portfolio concentration, seasoning, and credit metrics. - Curiosity, critical thinking, and rigor in questioning assumptions, validating data quality, and designing robust analyses.
- Strong project management, time management, and ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic, growing organization.
- Experience in agricultural finance, crop input financing, cooperatives, or rural lending.
- Expertise in credit risk analytics, portfolio performance monitoring, early warning systems, or loss prediction modeling.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling, experiment design, A/B testing, or causal inference methods.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, etc.) and modern data stacks.
- Knowledge of financial data governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., Fair Lending, regulatory reporting), and data security best practices.
