Database Administrator (Contract) – AI & BI Infrastructure Support Ready to shape the future of data-driven decision-making? Join a dynamic team where your expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, and AI readiness will directly impact business intelligence, analytics, and operational efficiency. This is a contract opportunity supporting cross-functional initiatives in sales, marketing, and IT.

• Pay: $60-75/hr
• Contract:
  
  3-4 month contract with potential for renewal
• Work Hours:
  
  Monday-Friday, standard business hours
• Location:
  
  Remote with onsite visits as needed in Kansas City, Missouri (U.S. based)

• Data Governance & Integrity:
  Enforce data standards, metadata management, and access controls; ensure accuracy and consistency of data feeding into Power BI and AI models
• Optimized Data Architecture:
  Design and maintain scalable data environments (e.g., data lakes, warehouses); build efficient data pipelines to support growing datasets
• Performance Tuning for Power BI:
  Optimize SQL queries and views; create indexed/aggregated tables for faster reporting; manage data refresh schedules to avoid production impact
• AI-Ready Data Preparation:
  Structure and preprocess data for machine learning and AI models; enable access to historical and large-scale datasets for training purposes
• Security & Compliance:
  Implement role-based access, data masking, and encryption; maintain audit trails and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
• Collaboration & Communication:
  Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and business teams

• Proven experience managing MS-SQL and Azure cloud databases
• Strong understanding of Power BI, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with AI/ML data preparation and governance best practices
• Knowledge of data security protocols and compliance standards
