The Service Now Developer will design, develop, configure, and maintain solutions within the Service Now platform to support business functions across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, Software Asset Management (SAM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and CMDB. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality enterprise solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement customized Service Now applications and modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SAM, HRSD, and enterprise workflows
- Develop and maintain integrations between Service Now and enterprise systems using APIs, MID Servers, and Integration Hub
- Implement and maintain a healthy CMDB following CSDM principles
- Design and maintain data models and relationships between Configuration Items (CIs)
- Develop automation solutions leveraging Flow Designer, Orchestration, and custom scripting
- Enhance platform performance, availability, and reliability through proactive maintenance
- Adhere to Service Now development best practices including code reviews, documentation, and compliance standards
- Maintain platform integrity during upgrades, patches, and deployments
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing Service Now solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, architects, and developers to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Research and implement emerging Service Now capabilities such as Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, and Performance Analytics
- Write, translate, and code software programs according to specifications
- Perform software updates, testing, and scripting enhancements
- Analyze user needs and develop optimized software solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field and 4 years related professional experience required, OR Associate Degree and 6 years related professional experience required, OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years related professional experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Service Now development and configuration experience
- Strong knowledge of computer equipment, storage, back-ups, operating systems, and tools used in an operating environment
- Proven expertise in one or more of the following: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SAM, HRSD, CSDM, CMDB
- Experience with JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and REST/SOAP integrations
- Familiarity with Service Now data structures, update sets, ACLs, and business rules
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- One or more Implementation Specialist Certifications (ITSM, ITOM, SAM, HRSD, etc.)
- Service Now development and configuration
