Chipton-Ross is seeking a PC Support I Technician for a contract opportunity in Kansas City, MO.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office and Office 365 is required.
• Candidate must be familiar with maintaining laptop and PC hardware, laser printer hardware, iOS, and Android.
• Must have 1-3 years of experience with in-person support within IT.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, primary functions include end user support, conference room equipment support, and IT Walk-Up general technical support. This individual must be capable of delivering effective support to end users for all desktop and workstation-related needs. The role requires a basic troubleshooting understanding of laptop and desktop endpoints, printing devices, smart phones, and tablet devices. This job is to be performed with limited supervision and has no responsibility or authority for the direction of others.
• Must be able to clearly communicate technical issues to end users.
• Must have sound knowledge of Active Directory, Entra , and Intune solutions
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, including maintaining a clean and orderly workspace while effectively managing a virtual que of tasks and requests.
• Should be readily available to assist end users either through Chat, Email, Phone, and in person.
• Should have a good understanding of prioritizing incidents and ticketing systems.
• Working knowledge of standard concepts, best practices and procedures related to set up/configuration of desktop hardware and current operating system.
• Working knowledge of desktop operating system.
• Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical.
• Finishes tasks accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
• Works effectively in a team environment.
• Makes sound decisions with general guidance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Prior experience in a technical support role OR Industry-recognized certifications / education preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• In addition to normal office work conditions, candidate must have the ability to perform the physical activities of the job. (Includes, but not limited to awkward positions, balancing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 70 pounds.)
REQUIRED
EDUCATION:
• Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS:
• Full-Time
• Monday-Friday 08:00am-05:00pm (other hours as required.)
