The mission of Digital Workplace at DeLaval is to develop and govern the End User Services while ensuring their delivery and usage. By that, we contribute to DeLaval competitiveness by delivering standardized and fit for purpose infrastructure services, maintaining a balance between time to market, cost, quality and security.

We put a lot of effort into offering modern and easy to use IT services and strive to be on the forefront. A few examples are a fully cloud managed client platform (Intune), Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Teams Telephony, Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), cloud print and storage. We have moved away from legacy platforms such as SCCM and Citrix.

As majority of these services are delivered by external partners, the mission is focused at governing and controlling the partners. DeLaval is in the position to transform their end user productivity tool to enable modern way of working with collaboration and mobility to work close to our customers, at our manufacturing facilities and/or from any location our colleagues prefer working from.

In this role you will be reporting to the End User Experience Manager. We are strengthening our presence by adding a second Onsite Support Specialist. You will be working in close collaboration with the Digital Workplace Team and be responsible for all the Onsite Support activities in your site and area. Your main goal is to deliver the best onsite support possible, and we as a team are working together to deliver a great end user experience to our DeLaval users.

Highlights

Here are the highlights of what you will be working on in this exciting role:

Site IT Coordination
  • To support the other assigned locations remotely by working with the Site IT Coordinators - “satellite” support
  • Collaborate with team members to understand organizational and operational challenges
  • Manage technical difficulties, working with vendors when necessary
  • Act as the local IT liaison for central IT
Digital Workplace in Office, Manufacturing and Field Settings
  • End user training and onboarding for new employees and new technology
  • Be part of and drive various projects within central IT
  • Client support, based on tickets, received from the Service desk
  • Repair computers in easy cases or handle the process of repair or initial diagnostic
  • Support diagnostics and installation of OS and applications
  • Support Teams telephony & Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)
  • Support printer installations
  • Use performance monitoring tools to enhance end user experience
Cybersecurity
  • Work with end user awareness for cybersecurity related topics.
Management of IT Assets
  • PCs, IT peripherals, Microsoft Teams Telephony as well as Teams Rooms equipment
  • Operational Technology (OT)
Network / Local server support / Printer
  • Coordinate network/server equipment with the vendors
  • Troubleshooting support (lights on at a Network switch/router; Local servers)
  • Support Central IT and Network provider regarding inventory questions / audits
  • Decommission and discard old Network/Server equipment properly
  • Support printers in factory and warehouse environments, such as label printers
Required Qualifications That Will Set You Up For Success
  • Microsoft 365 knowledge
  • Service Now Knowledge
  • Training experience for new employees – people skills
  • Research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong process‑oriented skills to help guide Onsite team’s direction
  • Knowledge of and experience troubleshooting/supporting Windows 11, mobile devices
  • Networking skills such as LAN/WAN network configuration and troubleshooting, as well as VPN client connectivity
  • Good verbal/writing English skills
  • An ability to cooperate and prioritize
