Agile Coach Position

10 is currently seeking an Agile Coach position with a Major Financial Institution located in Kansas City, MO. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Compensation: $82.00 - $92.00 per hour, W2, based on experience and qualifications.
Position Overview:
As a change agent, this role involves coaching teams through their Agile maturation journey, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and helping to design and implement the organization's Agile adoption strategy. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support and training to guide teams toward a deeper understanding and practice of Agile methodologies, with a heavy focus on technical practices like TDD, BDD, and CI/CD.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a change agent who influences mind-set and behaviors and demonstrates courage to challenge, advise, and coach teams
- Partner with Program Agile Coach to engage with and coach teams through a journey of maturation
- Foster and encourage a culture of agility, continuous improvement and quality assurance at both the team and enterprise levels
- Employ coaching techniques to help teams and to address gaps in the delivery processes, with a heavy focus on TDD, BDD, XP, secure coding principles, pair programming, CI/CI pipeline, and automated testing
- Develop an Agile adoption strategy for the organization, from introduction and education to sustaining Agile methodologies
- Educate colleagues on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work
- Mentor and guide teams on the Agile methodology, providing feedback and hands-on support
- Implement Agile processes, principles and practices across all levels and departments in the organization
- Facilitate positive change by providing advice and input on technical direction, tools and processes
Core Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree specializing in business, related computer technology, or equivalent combination of education and/or directly related work experience
- 5+ years of experience coaching, leading, guiding full scale agile transformations as an external coach
- 5+ years of software lead development experience
- Expert in Scrum and Kanban Agile Frameworks
- Experience with JIRA and various software/agile tools
- Versed in Dev Ops principles and practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Automated Testing
- Versed in agile development techniques such as TDD, BDD, and/or XP
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills such as building trust, creating psychological safety, and consensus building
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven experience leading and facilitating team meetings
- United States citizenship or lawful permanent resident alien status is required for this position
Desired
Skills:
- Agile Coaching certification (i.e., Certified Team Coach or Agile Certified Professional)
- Experience with Pair Programming
