IT/OT Infrastructure & Security Manager

The IT/OT Infrastructure & Security Manager is a pivotal role where you oversee and secure the infrastructure and control networks at the site; in this position, you ensure robust connectivity and security across servers, fiber networks, and Honeywell security systems, while managing critical infrastructure components such as LAN, WLAN, voice gateways, data rooms, and cabinets; you lead the strategic development and implementation of information security measures, including firewalls, security cameras, and network updates, to protect and optimize the site’s operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) environments;

by aligning with site management and actively participating in the Information Security Management (ISM) community, you drive continuous improvement in infrastructure strategy and security protocols to enhance operational resilience and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for IT/OT infrastructure and control networks, ensuring alignment with the site’s overall operational goals.
  • Collaborate with IT/OT stakeholders to design and optimize network architecture, enhancing connectivity and performance across the site.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of infrastructure projects, including the deployment and maintenance of ESXi clusters (PROD & CNB) and fiber connectivity solutions.
  • Drive Information Security Management (ISM) compliance, including cybersecurity standards, firewall strategy, IT security, and security camera solutions, while actively participating in ISM community activities.
  • Manage port connectivity and voice gateways, ensuring robust and secure communication channels across the site.
  • Implement and manage the Honeywell Security System, including servers, network connections, badge access points, firewalls, and dialer systems, to ensure comprehensive site security.
  • Schedule and oversee network iOS updates in coordination with plant operations and vendors, ensuring minimal disruption to critical processes.
  • Manage the deployment and maintenance of wireless network switches and access points across the Kansas City site and Caves, ensuring robust and reliable wireless connectivity.
  • Lead the integration and optimization of the control network, ensuring seamless communication between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.
  • Back up team members in the areas of mobile device administration, thin client management, and historian trends.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent technical education with 5 years of chemical manufacturing experience, or technical support of chemical operations, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of digital systems, with a proven ability to work on numerous projects and initiatives at the same time.
  • Very strong ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, with strong collaboration and influence skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization from leadership to operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of security‑related technologies such as firewalls, web application firewalls (WAFs), IDS/IPS systems, and SIEM systems.
  • Knowledgeable of RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations, waste codes, and ability to immediately communicate discovery of spills and leaks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Widely recognized security certifications such as CISM, CISA, or comparable credentials.
