IT Business Analyst
RSM, a leading provider of professional services to the middle market globally, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Contracts Manager to join our finance team. This individual contributor will lead vendor sourcing negotiations for projects and purchases with an annual spend up to $500,000 and collaborate with partners, line of business leaders, directors, and managers across all functions.
Responsibilities- Perform review, redlining, and negotiation of vendor contracts, including cloud/SaaS, on‑premises software, master service agreements, statements of work, and NDAs.
- Lead vendor negotiations, ensuring information security and privacy due diligence and compliance with finance requirements.
- Leverage legal expertise to conduct legal reviews of contracts negotiated by the sourcing team.
- Understand vendor programs and products to improve operations or productivity.
- Interact with RSM leaders to ensure contract language meets operational objectives, provide status updates, and prepare contract risk summaries.
- Coach LOB and functional leaders on negotiation tactics for best overall results.
- Assist LOB and functional leaders in contract interpretation related to termination provisions, service level performance, and software license compliance.
- Education/Certifications – Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent through education or work experience.
Preferred
: legal degree or master’s degree. - Technical/Soft Skills – Strong analytical and contract negotiation skills; price analysis and modeling; contract redlining; basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and word processing.
- Experience – 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience; 3+ years of project management experience; experience leading vendor agreement negotiations; knowledge of IT concepts and privacy concepts; preferred knowledge of contracting process workflow and automated contracting systems.
- Leadership Skills – Superior oral and written communication; ability to interact effectively with all levels; exceptional listening skills.
