Position: Digital Operations and Application Governance Specialist

Overview

The Digital Operations and Application Governance Specialist plays a vital role in executing digital initiatives and maintaining robust application governance within the plant.

This position supports effective project delivery, promotes the adoption of digital solutions for operational efficiency, and ensures application compliance, including responsibility for Computer System Validation (CSV) ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution of digital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project plans and timelines.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams in the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital initiatives aimed at optimizing operations and improving efficiency.
  • Help track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and elevate issues to the Plant Digital Operations and Application Governance Leader.
  • Serve as a site contact for CSV‑related inquiries and maintain CSV standards and documentation.
  • Determine which in‑scope (regulated) computer systems and applications are validated per corporate CSV procedures (QAS‑S‑04) and capture them in the Application Inventory.
  • Collect and provide evidence for Data Integrity and Site CSV‑related activities, including for site GIA and external audits.
  • Collaborate with Local Application Owners and Technical Owners to verify supplier audits and manage changes to ensure compliance.
  • Support remediation plans for non‑compliant systems, instituting data‑integrity procedural controls.
  • Participate in regular reviews of computer systems with key stakeholders to sustain CSV compliance.
  • Lead application registration and vetting before deployment, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Maintain application access controls in line with security frameworks.
  • Execute change‑management processes for application updates to minimize disruption.
  • Support maintenance of Application Continuity Plans to guarantee availability during disruptions.
  • Assist in managing record retention for application data per company and legal policies.
  • Support integration of P&G digital technologies into plant projects, ensuring seamless incorporation of site requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and address challenges related to digital strategy deployment.
  • Identify inefficiencies and champion digital solutions to boost productivity.
  • Lead deployment of touchless quality assurance methodologies using digital platforms to streamline processes and reduce manual interventions.
Job Qualifications
  • Entry‑level to 2 years of experience in project support, digital transformation, or IT compliance initiatives, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of project‑management principles and operational‑excellence concepts.
  • Familiarity with data‑management tools (e.g., SQL) and an eagerness to learn programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Team‑collaboration skills and the ability to follow direction effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and adherence to established compliance procedures.
  • Must work onsite at Kansas City, Kansas facility five days per week, Monday‑Friday.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience or strong understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) principles.
  • Basic understanding of GMP regulations and CSV guidelines, or a strong willingness to learn and apply them.
Compensation

Starting salary range: $85,000.00 – $ per year. Total rewards include salary, bonus (if applicable), and benefits.
