Position OverviewLaunch Code is seeking an ML/AI Scientist to join the Data & Analytics team of one of our partner organizations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about applying machine learning, deep learning, and advanced analytics to solve complex business problems. The AI Scientist will develop predictive models, design experiments, and build analytical solutions that drive strategic decision-making and revenue optimization.
This position focuses on forecasting demand through advanced deep learning models, enabling data-driven decisions at the branch level while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and analytics teams to deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy predictive and deep learning models to solve business challenges.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to improve model performance.
- Design and execute experiments to validate analytical approaches and measure business impact.
- Apply statistical inference and causal inference techniques using observational data.
- Develop algorithms that support automation and optimization of business processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize machine learning solutions.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Document methodologies, models, and analytical results to support knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
- Contribute to a collaborative, security-focused development environment.
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience developing predictive models, statistical models, or deep learning solutions.
- Experience with Tensor Flow, PyTorch, or similar deep learning frameworks.
- Strong programming experience using Python or R.
- Experience communicating technical concepts and analytical findings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
- U.S. work authorization without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the St. Louis metropolitan area.
- Experience designing and analyzing experiments.
- Experience with data visualization and exploratory data analysis.
- Experience using SQL.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience integrating and preparing data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
- Experience applying causal inference techniques such as matching, weighting, or similar methodologies.
- Experience supporting revenue management, forecasting, optimization, or advanced analytics initiatives
