Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Advantage Tech is searching for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will support the design, deployment, and operation of the client's global multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises VMware/Hyper-V environments. This role provides operational depth that enables the Senior Manager – Technology Services to focus on strategic Innovation initiatives, and directly supports in-flight programs including Azure Landing Zone deployment, AWS workload operations, cross-cloud data pipelines, HPE Simpli Vity virtualization migration, IPAM, and infrastructure modernization across affiliates.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Deploy, operate, and optimize Azure Landing Zone resources including Virtual WAN hubs, firewalls, networking, identity, and security baselines.
• Deploy, operate, and optimize AWS workloads including VPCs, Transit Gateway, IAM, security groups, and supporting services for SOTG's AWS-resident applications and data pipelines.
• Operate cross-cloud connectivity and integration patterns, including AWS-Azure data pipelines, federated identity, certificate-based authentication, and NAT Gateway/Elastic IP egress through Azure Firewall.
• Execute Infrastructure as Code across both clouds (Terraform with AzureRM/AzAPI and AWS providers) for repeatable, governed infrastructure deployments.
• Support the migration from VMware vSphere to Microsoft Hyper-V on HPE Simpli Vity hardware across primary and DR sites.
• Operate the enterprise IPAM platform and manage IP allocations across HQ and international affiliates.
• Support per-affiliate VPN endpoint deployment and regional landing zone extension as the global rollout proceeds.
• Implement and maintain security baselines across both clouds, including CIS Microsoft Azure Foundations Benchmark v2.0.0 and CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark controls.
• Partner with the Cybersecurity team and Rapid7 SOC integration to ensure infrastructure meets security baselines across all cloud environments.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup operations across regions and clouds.
• Author and maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.
• Provide tier-3 support for infrastructure incidents and participate in on-call rotations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cloud infrastructure engineering and operations.

Other Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure, including networking, identity (Entra  AWS IAM), security baselines, and core compute/storage services.
• Production experience with Azure Virtual WAN, AWS Transit Gateway, and cross-cloud connectivity patterns (site-to-site VPN, Express Route, Direct Connect).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required, with AzureRM/AzAPI and AWS providers; Cloud Formation or Bicep a plus).
• Experience with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, including migration between hypervisors.
• Familiarity with HPE Simpli Vity or similar hyperconverged infrastructure preferred.
• Understanding of CIS benchmarks (Azure and AWS), security baselines, and compliance frameworks (SOX, ISO 27001).
• French, Spanish, or Portuguese language skills a plus.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
