End User Support Technician

We are seeking an End User Support Technician to join our client's IT team in Kansas City, MO. This role is responsible for providing hands‑on technical support to employees and contingent workers, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and related technology equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance and issue resolution with a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and responsiveness.
- Image, configure, install, repair, and upgrade computer systems and perform routine maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and technical incidents.
- Manage and resolve support tickets through Service Now, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
- Provide in-person and remote technical support to end users.
- Maintain inventory records for IT equipment and track device assignments.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and customer interactions within the ticketing system.
- Assist with software installations and licensing compliance requirements.
- Support new hire workstation setups and office relocation activities.
- Collaborate with IT Service Owners and other technical teams to resolve complex issues.
- Provide accurate information regarding IT products, services, and availability.
- Follow up with customers regarding request status and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain knowledge base documentation for recurring issues and support procedures.
- Participate in Problem Management and Change Management activities as required.
- Provide Tier 1 audiovisual (AV) support, including troubleshooting conference room equipment and presentation connectivity issues.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and desktop support best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Well‑organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Experience with Service Now or similar ticketing systems is preferred.
- Prior desktop support, help desk, or end‑user support experience is preferred.
