Lead Distribution Engineer

Leidos seeks a Lead Distribution Engineer to design and optimize complex IT distribution and infrastructure solutions supporting mission-critical national security, health, and engineering programs. You will lead end-to-end technical delivery, from requirements and architecture through implementation, integration, and performance tuning. Partnering with cross-functional and customer teams, you will ensure secure, scalable, and resilient systems. In this highly collaborative, mission-driven environment, you'll mentor engineers, champion best practices, and drive innovation with modern tools, automation, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of distribution and infrastructure solutions for IT and software systems
• Provide technical leadership across project lifecycle from requirements through deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate secure, scalable distribution architectures
• Conduct system analysis, modeling, and performance optimization
• Ensure compliance with security, reliability, and regulatory standards
• Mentor engineers and review designs, documentation, and test plans
• Support proposals, cost estimates, and technical presentations to government and commercial clients
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of modern tools, automation, and best practices
