The Manager, Legal Technology Applications is responsible for leading the strategy, administration, and optimization of legal technology platforms that support attorneys, clients, and business operations. This role oversees application life cycles, manages a team of technology professionals, and drives technology initiatives that enhance efficiency, service delivery, and operational excellence across the firm.

This is a hybrid position resident in Kansas City.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration, performance, and availability of client facing and practice specific legal applications, including CRM, document automation, calendar and custom developed client-facing applications.
  • Lead and manage a team of system administrators and analysts, overseeing their work and ensuring that they maintain high quality applications and features.
  • Manage application life cycles including planning, procurement, deployment, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning of supported applications in coordination with vendors and IT leadership.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements, systems goals, develop system road maps and to identify and resolve systems issues. Define scope of work, methodology, deliverables and time frames.
  • Lead or co-lead legal technology implementation projects from requirements gathering through go-live and post-deployment support.
  • Allocate appropriate resources to ensure predictable delivery of multiple applications and projects.
  • Ensure the business and system processes are documented and updated at regular interval.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that will increase quality, efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage / coordinate client requests for support and/or reports, ensuring that solutions balance and address business partner needs.
  • Report on application support progress, root cause determination, technology spend and forecast, risks and issues.
  • Perform such other/additional duties as may from time to time be assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND

CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Experience Required

Minimum 5 years related work experience
