The Research Data Platform Specialist serves as a data concierge for researchers, enabling efficient access to and utilization of data within data resources at Children's Mercy. This role bridges research teams and data systems, ensuring compliance with governance standards while delivering high-quality, actionable data for clinical and translational research. The specialist serves as a consultant and coordinator between Research Informatics and research teams to inform researchers regarding the use of informatics resources.

• Collaborate with researchers to define data needs and develop strategies for accessing data to be used in research.
• Develop communications and provide resources to be used throughout Children's Mercy to promote usage of data and informatics tools for research
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy standards, training requirements, and other policies related to data
• Report progress, issues, and concerns to vendors, supervisor, project manager, and Research Informatics leadership

• Master's Degree Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems Management, or related field of study and 1-2 years experience or
• Bachelor's Degree Health Information Technology, Health Information Management, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study and 3-5 years experience
• Prior experience working as a Certified Epic Analyst or Physician Builder, meeting prerequisite requirements for Cosmos Administration Certification preferred, OR
