Location

Summary
:
Verigent's client is seeking a mid-level Network Engineer to support network infrastructure within the Kansas City, MO area. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded experience working with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls and be comfortable troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining enterprise network environments.
Responsibilities- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Support enterprise LAN/WAN network infrastructure and connectivity.
- Perform network troubleshooting and resolve hardware, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Assist with network implementations, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot outages or service disruptions.
- Analyze network issues and identify root causes.
- Maintain network documentation, configurations, diagrams, and technical procedures.
- Work with internal IT teams, vendors, and other technical resources to resolve network issues.
- 3+ years of hands-on network engineering/administration experience.
- Strong experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco firewalls.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and packet-level analysis.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with infrastructure and IT teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Cisco certification such as CCNA or CCNP is preferred but not required.
